917 Case

Overview

917 Case (Customized Alternative Solutions for Education) is a program within Intermediate School District 917’s Alliance Education Center in Rosemount that serves students ages 5–22 who have complex educational, mental health, and behavioral needs. Programming is individualized and designed to support students who require intensive, specialized services.

Programs and supports

Individualized instruction with high staff-to-student ratios and customized learning spaces, including individual student offices and break-out areas.
Evidence-based curriculum and instruction at the student’s developmental level, with a focus on academic, functional, social, and transition skills.
Specialized multidisciplinary teams, including related service providers, mental health support, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
Related services provided according to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), such as speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and developmental adaptive physical education.
Access to sensory rooms and sensory supports and transition-based programming for eligible students.

Meals, transportation and additional services

School nutrition is provided on site; ISD 917 participates in the Minnesota Free School Meals Program and students at this location are eligible for school meal services. Transportation for students attending the program is coordinated with the student’s resident member district. Health, social work, and other student supports are available as specified in student IEPs.
