Apple Tree Childrens Learning Center

Overview

Apple Tree Children's Learning Center provides full-day child care and early learning for children ages 15 months to 6 years. The center is licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services and by the City of Chicago, and is inspected and approved by the Chicago Health Department and the Chicago Fire Department.

Curriculum and staff

The program follows a developmentally appropriate curriculum and describes a Whole Child approach aimed at supporting children’s health, safety, engagement, support and challenge. Teaching staff meet state requirements, undergo fingerprint-based background checks, and are required to complete a physical examination including tuberculosis testing and drug screening. Staff meetings are held regularly to review and evaluate the program.

Enrollment and policies

Enrollment requires completed application and original medical forms with the child’s physician signature and stamp.
School information forms must be completed and submitted prior to a child’s first day.
Enrollment is open without discrimination on the basis of color, race, creed, national origin, religious persuasion, political belief, sex or disability.
Children do not have to be potty trained prior to enrollment.
