Overview

Bethania Preschool and After School is a year‑round, state‑licensed early childhood education program affiliated with a local church in the Santa Ynez Valley. The program serves preschool‑age and elementary school children and emphasizes developmental growth across cognitive, social and physical domains.

Curriculum and learning approach

The program’s curriculum includes pre‑reading, writing and early math skills, along with science, art and outdoor activities. Learning is structured so that skills build from one age level to the next, and summer months are used for review and enrichment of school‑year learning. Students also take part in weekly chapel experiences that introduce Bible stories, songs and ethical teachings.

Staff, qualifications and enrichment

Instruction and care are provided by fully licensed staff who are CPR trained.
Children participate in community service and worldwide service projects as part of their learning experience.
Elementary‑age care includes homework help, recreational and craft activities during the school year and themed camp activities in summer.
