Overview

Walker Creek Elementary - Blue Door Academy is a school-site operated by Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County that provides after-school services for students enrolled at Walker Creek Elementary. Services at school-site locations are organized for students of the host school and are offered on the school campus.

Program focus

Programming is organized around core outcome areas including academic success, character and leadership, healthy lifestyles, and workforce readiness. Activities commonly provided across these programs include homework help and tutoring, STEM and hands-on learning, arts and music experiences, mentoring, and field trips.

Licensing and enrollment

School-site locations are licensed child care centers regulated by the State of Texas’s Child Care Licensing and are available only to students enrolled in the host school.
