Bloom Learning Center

Overview

Bloom Learning Center is a family-owned early childhood centre serving infants through school-age children. The program is organized around supporting developmental milestones in a classroom environment that emphasizes safety, trust and positive relationships.

Approach and curriculum

The centre uses a developmental, play-based approach that addresses the whole child: physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth. Classrooms include activities to develop language and communication, cognitive skills, fine and gross motor abilities, social-emotional skills and health awareness.

Programs

Infants: Nurturing care combined with learning experiences that target cognitive, language, motor and social-emotional development.
Toddlers: Group and individual activities that promote cognitive, language, social-emotional and motor skills through interactive learning.
Intro. to PreK: A program for 2’s through 3’s that incorporates art, nature, physical activity and foundational skill-building across developmental domains.
Preschool: A program for 3’s through 5’s with greater focus on language, early writing and opportunities for creative exploration.
School Age/Summer Camp: Full-day summer programming for school-age children featuring outdoor play, water days and visiting performers and attractions.

Activities and additional offerings

Classroom pets are kept in some rooms, including fish and a classroom hamster.
Seasonal and special events such as spirit week and community visits are part of the calendar; summer camp programming includes themed activities and outside experiences.
Staff participate in CPR and first-aid training delivered with local emergency services.
Accepts state childcare subsidy (CCAP).
