Overview

Blue Oak Creative Schoolhouse is a Reggio Emilia–inspired early learning program that operates multiple campuses on the west side of Los Angeles. The Washington campus, including a Zanja Street extension opened in 2024, houses full‑day toddler, preschool, and transitional kindergarten classrooms.

Educational approach

The program uses a constructivist, emergent curriculum in which teachers act as facilitators, observing and documenting children’s play and project work.
