Overview

Bright Ideas Childcare & Learning Center serves children from six weeks through 12 years and has operated since 1999. The center runs separate classrooms for different developmental stages, including infant, toddler, preschool/pre-K and school-age groups.

Programs

Infants — Warm, responsive care for babies from six weeks until they are walking steadily, with individualized attention to early communication, social-emotional development and fine motor skills.
Toddlers — A play-focused environment for one- and two-year-olds that supports gross motor development, language growth and early social skills; potty training is introduced in partnership with families.
Preschool & Pre-K — Classrooms for potty-trained three- and four-year-olds that combine social-emotional learning with early literacy, writing foundations, dramatic play and hands-on activities to prepare children for kindergarten.
School-Age — Before- and after-school care with snack time, homework stations and a range of child-led activities; expanded programs are offered during school breaks and intersession days.

Care routines and family services

Meals: four daily meals — breakfast, morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack.
Outdoor time: about 45 minutes in the morning and one hour in the afternoon, weather permitting.
Parent communication: uses the ProCare Parent Engagement app for daily updates on naps, meals, activities and diapering.
Child-to-teacher ratios listed on the site: Infants 1 to 5; Age 1 is 1 to 6; Age 2 is 1 to 8; Age 3 is 1 to 13; Age 4 is 1 to 15; School-age is 1 to 20.
Enrollment: the site lists a completed enrollment packet, registration fee and first week’s tuition, copy of parents’ ID and the child’s immunization records as required items.
Accepted subsidy programs include DES, Child Care Aware, First Things First Scholarships and payments by the Hopi, Pima and Navajo Nation tribes.
