Career Center Of Southern Il

Overview

Career Center of Southern Illinois provides career and technical education for students from area high schools as well as training for adult learners. The center includes an alternative high school program for students who have experienced social, emotional, or attendance challenges and maintains an affiliated Beck School of Nursing that offers practical nursing and certified nurse assistant pathways.

Programs and training

Career and technical areas named on the site include welding, automotive service, law enforcement preparation, child care, HVAC, and nursing (Practical Nursing and Certified Nurse Assistant).
Programs emphasize hands-on, field-specific instruction, clinical or workplace experiences, and opportunities such as career competitions and job shadowing.
