Overview

Carol’s Learning Academy provides full‑day childcare and preschool services Monday through Friday with a structured daily routine that includes breakfast, circle time, preschool activities, outdoor play (weather permitting), lunch, a required nap/quiet period, and afternoon activities.

Curriculum & activities

The program uses age‑targeted, hands‑on learning across subjects such as language, math, science, music and movement, art and sensory activities. Monthly themes are used to broaden children’s experience, and activities are adapted for preschool and school‑age children.

Meals, health and safety

Meals and snacks are provided: breakfast, mid‑morning snack, hot/cold lunch, and an afternoon snack. Menus are available on request and food allergies must be reported. The centre maintains medical and medication administration procedures, excludes ill children according to stated symptoms and fever policy, requires current medical records for enrollment, and notes that staff receive emergency training including CPR; entries are kept locked and security cameras are used.

Staff, policies and practical information

Teachers are required to have at least two years of college coursework; assistants must have a high school diploma; the director has advanced early childhood education coursework and experience.
Registration, payment, absence, holiday and discipline policies are documented in the centre handbook; weekly tuition is charged regardless of holidays or absences.
Parent/teacher conferences and progress reports are offered; sheets for cots are laundered weekly and rest time is provided in accordance with licensing.
