Cheremoya Avenue Elementary School State Preschool

Overview

Cheremoya Avenue Elementary is an LAUSD campus serving TK through 5th grade and includes on-site preschool offerings. The school reports enrollment of just over 160 students (not including the Preschool Collaborative class and the State Pre-School program) and lists 13 fully credentialed certificated teachers on staff.

Approach and supports

The school participates in LAUSD’s Creative Network to provide arts instruction across theatre, dance, visual arts and vocal music. It implements multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) as part of its academic and behavioral framework. The school is identified as a Community School as part of a district initiative to coordinate academic, health, and social services.

School meal service is provided through LAUSD’s Café LA program under the district’s universal meals policy.
