Children'S Village Preschool

Overview

Children's Village Preschool of Orange provides full-day early care and education for children beginning at 12 weeks through age six. The centre is located on a one-acre, park-like lot and presents outdoor space as a continuous learning environment for physical development and nature exploration.

Approach and curriculum

The program follows constructivist principles derived from Jean Piaget and Lev Vygotsky and emphasises hands-on learning, problem solving, and exploration across areas such as science, mathematics, arts, music, and creative movement. Staff facilitate children’s investigations and incorporate children’s and families’ interests into classroom activities.

Facilities, health and staff

Park-like outdoor environment on approximately one acre used for gross-motor development and nature exploration.
On-site meal program: two snacks (morning and afternoon) and a lunch prepared at the school (lunch included for children 18 months and older on Core and Extended schedules; infants and half-day children excluded).
Staff hold CPR and First Aid certification and the centre maintains written health and safety policies for caring for well children.
