CrossWays Preschool is a nonprofit, half-day preschool program in Libertyville, Illinois serving children aged 2 to 5 with faith-inclusive, play-based curriculum. Celebration! Programs combine play-based discovery with teacher-directed lessons and follow the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards. The site uses research-based curricula including The Creative Curriculum™ and Learning Without Tears™, and faith-based elements such as children’s chapel and bible stories are incorporated into daily activities.
Programs use substantial outdoor space and an outdoor classroom with nature walks, a garden, playground, bike track, sledding hill and greenhouse. Teaching staff are described as DCFS-qualified and experienced; select staff receive continuing education and some are CPR and First Aid certified. The facility entrance is kept locked with a fob system and visitors are admitted only with director permission. Brightwheel software is used for parent communication, check-in/out and billing.
