Weinberg Gifted Academy is a district K–6 gifted academy that serves students eligible for gifted services in the southeast Valley. The school follows an open-enrollment model and delivers an accelerated, self-contained environment focused on academic and social-emotional development.
The academy emphasizes problem-based learning and delivers instruction at least one year beyond grade level in English language arts and mathematics. Instruction uses research-based, district-vetted materials; curriculum examples listed include Engineering is Elementary, integrated Science/Social Science units, Eureka Math and Glencoe Math, Junior Great Books, HMH Into Reading, and Savvas myPerspectives.
Learning spaces include flexible classrooms and larger collaborative hubs.
