Overview

Oakton Elementary School serves kindergarten through fifth grade in a historic K-5 building that opened in 1914. The facility retains original woodwork, tile inlays and murals, and the site describes an enrollment of about 400 students.

Learning and technology

The school provides classroom instruction supported by district digital learning resources and single-sign-on access via Clever. Teachers and students use platforms including Seesaw and Google Classroom for assignments and communication; supplemental resources referenced include BrainPOP, BrainPOP Jr., Newsela, EPIC!, myON, ST Math and i-Ready.
