First Lutheran Pre-School

Overview

First Lutheran Preschool offers part-time preschool classes for children in the Geneseo area. The program operates during the school year, from September through May.

Curriculum and activities

Curriculum conforms to the goals and preschool standards published by the Illinois State Board of Education and the program is certified by the State of Illinois.
Classroom activities include free play, readiness exercises, language arts, creative art, cooking, music, games and rhythms, with occasional field trips.
Classrooms are described as sunny and designed to support creativity and exploration.

Schedule and policies

3-year old: Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
4-year old: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
The preschool follows the Geneseo School District’s closure decisions for inclement weather and publishes a yearly calendar and newsletters for families.

Tuition and enrollment

Tuition rates for 2026–2027 are listed as: 2 days per week — $105 per month ($945 per year); 3 days per week — $130 per month ($1,170 per year). A registration, tuition and policy brochure is provided for each preschool year.
