Overview

God'S Gifts Preschool operates as a church-affiliated preschool offering half-day early childhood programs and a caregiver-accompanied toddler class. Instruction and activities incorporate basic Christian values alongside social, emotional and early academic development.

Approach and daily routine

Daily schedule includes morning drop-off, handwashing, circle time (stories, songs, calendar), free-choice play, center activities (science, art, math, writing), snack, large-motor time (outdoor play or indoor gross-motor area) and a closing circle with a Bible story and prayer.
Snacks are provided for enrolled students; they follow DCFS guidelines, include fruits/grains and are nut-free. A yearly snack fee applies based on attendance days.

Programs

Tiny Treasures — Designed for children 18 months to 36 months accompanied by a caregiver; emphasizes social play, hands-on exploration, large motor play and storytime. Schedule: Fridays 9:30 to10:30 AM.
3- year old Preschool — Focuses on social skills, routines and hands-on learning through play; offers 2-day and 3-day options. Ages and schedules vary by option, with classroom hours at 9:15-12:15.
PreK Program — For children who are four years old by September 1st; concentrates on early literacy, math and science skills through playful activities and continued social development. Offers 3-, 4- and 5-day options; classroom hours are 9:15-12:15 and class sizes range from about 8–10 students.

Staff, ratios and safety

Teachers hold associate, bachelor or master degrees in early childhood or related fields; assistants have early childhood backgrounds. Staff complete ongoing professional development (15 hours per year) and hold CPR & First Aid certification.
Typical student/teacher ratios are listed as up to 10:1 for 3-year-old and PreK classes, with some PreK classes reported as 9:1 or 8:1.
Facility security measures include locked entrances, visitor entry by doorbell and security cameras; teachers meet children at cars for drop-off and escort them at pick-up.
