Overview

High Hopes Learning Center is a family-owned early childhood center that enrolls children from infancy through school-age. Programming is described as play- and curriculum-based and aims to support physical, emotional, social and intellectual development in a secure environment.

Programs and classrooms

Infants — 6 weeks to 15 months; provided at a 1:4 teacher–child ratio; care includes formula, infant cereal and fruits and focuses on cognitive, language, motor and social development.
Toddlers — 15 months to 24 months; provided at a 1:5 teacher–child ratio; program emphasizes group and individual activities across developmental domains.
Introduction to Preschool — 2years old 1:8 teacher child ratio
3 years old 1:10 teacher child ratio; curriculum addresses early skills in language, social-emotional development, motor skills, art and nature, with outdoor play.
Pre-K — 4 years old and 5 years old; provided at a 1:10 teacher–child ratio; focus includes language and early writing alongside creative and exploratory experiences.
School Age — 5 years old to 12 years old; provided at a 1:20 teacher–child ratio; activities include play, problem solving, socializing, outings and seasonal water days.
Summer Camp — Age 1-12 years; weekly curriculum themes, on- and off-site field trips, guest appearances and weekly water days.

Curriculum and enrichments

The center follows a developmental, play-based approach that treats play as a primary learning tool. Daily enrichments are integrated into the curriculum and reinforced by teachers; examples listed include Sign Language, Spanish, yoga/meditation and Orff music.

Meals and staff

Meals and snacks are provided on site (breakfast, lunch and snacks) with menus prepared in accordance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program; seasonal menus are available and the center reports accommodations for allergies and special diets. Educators are described as background-checked, CPR and First Aid certified, and participants in ongoing professional development.
