Ihsd, Inc-Moonridge Infant Center

Overview

Ihsd, Inc–Moonridge Infant Center operates as one of Izzi Early Education’s sites serving infants and families in San Mateo County. The centre is part of a network that offers Head Start and state preschool programming for children from birth to age five.

Programs and services

Center-Based Childcare — Full-day, year-round center programs providing infant, toddler, and preschool care across Izzi’s locations; programs serve children 0–5 years old and are funded through Head Start and state preschool contracts so eligible families may receive education and care at no cost.
Home Visiting — Year-round, individualized services for pregnant women and families with children ages 0–5 delivered in family homes throughout San Mateo County.
Family Child Care — Year-round, full-day early learning and child care offered in smaller, home-like licensed settings for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years.

Family supports and staff development

The network that includes Moonridge Infant Center provides wraparound services such as meals (breakfast, lunch, and snack), developmental screenings, vision and hearing checks, growth assessments, and dental screenings and basic dental care. Families are connected to health and social supports and family engagement opportunities. Izzi also runs a teacher training program (EarlySpark Institute) that offers coursework, on-the-job training, and support for early childhood educators.
