Kids Club Child Development Center

Overview

Established in 2004, Kids Club Child Development Center provides group childcare and early education for young children in Edwardsville, Illinois. Programs serve infants through preschool-age children, with drop-in options for school-aged children.

Programs and curriculum

Infants & Toddlers: Daily routines are used as teaching opportunities and weekly activities are planned to support developmental milestones; caregivers document care and progress and share updates with families via the Lillio app.
Two's & Young Preschool: A developmentally appropriate program that uses components of the Creative Curriculum, emphasizes routines that build self-regulation, and provides weekly planned activities with regular caregiver–family communication through the Lillio app.
Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten: Programs follow developmentally appropriate principles and the Creative Curriculum to promote social, emotional, cognitive and physical goals and to prepare children for school; families receive daily updates and photos via the Lillio app.
School-Age: Drop-in services are offered for school-aged children.

Staff, training and policies

The center is licensed by the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Most staff members hold early childhood education credentials; staff participate in ongoing training (15 clock hours per year) and are required to maintain First Aid and CPR. The program describes an anti-biased, multicultural approach to learning and an open-door policy that encourages family involvement and regular communication between caregivers and parents.
