Overview

The Lincoln Highlands campus is a neighborhood preschool in Oakland serving children from age two through transitional kindergarten in a full Spanish-immersion setting. Classrooms are designed for an indoor–outdoor flow and emphasize close teacher–child relationships in a community-style environment.

Approach and curriculum

Learning is play-based and inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, with instruction delivered in Spanish. Teachers guide inquiry-driven, hands-on activities that support social-emotional growth, emergent literacy, numeracy foundations, creative expression, and collaborative problem solving.

Indoor–outdoor learning spaces and ample outdoor play areas, including neighborhood walks and a large playground.
Flexible schedule options (school-day and extended-day formats, year-round and 10‑month options across the network).
Daily snacks are provided by the school; families supply lunch. The program maintains a nut-free policy.
The school is staffed by Spanish-speaking educators from diverse cultural backgrounds; the organization is licensed to operate in California.
