The Center For Children (CFC) is a childcare and early-education program located on the La Crescenta Presbyterian Church campus in La Crescenta, serving children from six weeks through sixth grade.
The Center for Children is a campus-based childcare and early-education program serving infants through school-age children up to sixth grade. Classrooms are designed to provide age-appropriate environments with posted daily schedules and consistent routines.
The site includes multiple indoor group spaces, three large gated outdoor play yards and a central courtyard. Meals and snacks are prepared by an onsite cook in a professional kitchen; menus and procedures are USDA-approved.
Daily routines are used to support children’s development. The center hosts third‑party extracurricular vendors for on‑campus enrichment (for example, weekly music and dance offerings) and provides transportation to and from local elementary schools during the school year. The facility uses Imagination Playground materials for open‑ended play.
The center accepts children with special needs when placement considerations (such as licensing, classroom ratios and staff capabilities) allow. The program works with local regional centers and school districts and can coordinate supports such as one‑on‑one program assistants or on‑campus therapies, but it does not provide one‑on‑one care directly.
Weekly classes taught by Plaza Production 1 offer a mix of styles including jazz, ballet, tap, creative movement and hip hop.

Every Friday, Max spends time with Infant, Toddler and Preschool students to promote developmental skills through music and movement.
Kindergarten to 6th grade. After‑School Program: the center drops off and picks up children from seven GUSD elementary schools in the La Crescenta area and provides afternoon activities, outdoor play and an afternoon snack.
Summer Day Camp runs June 22 thru August 14 and is open to students entering grades Kinder through 7th, with a separate Kinder Summer Camp option; children go on age‑appropriate field trips and one week participates in Vacation Bible School run by La Crescenta Presbyterian Church.
