Overview

Learn Together Grow Together Cdc offers full-day care and early education for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children. The center serves children from six weeks up to 12 years and runs seasonal programs such as a summer camp.

Approach and curriculum

The center uses a play-based approach grounded in The Creative Curriculum. Activities are designed to promote social, emotional, physical and cognitive development while encouraging independence and curiosity. Families are regarded as partners in children’s development.

Programs and activities

Infants, Toddlers and Twos — Daily care emphasizes relationship-building with a primary caregiver assigned to each child; younger-room practices transition as children move into two-year rooms.
Preschool Program — Serves children aged 3 to 5 years with activities in language arts, math, science, music, art, physical development and basic computer skills; children take part in mixed-age group activities and go on field trips and in-house special events.
School-age / Summer Camp — Seasonal programming for older children, listed on the site as serving children up to 12 years, with activities and events during the summer.
Field trips — Off-site trips for children ages 2–5 are conducted using licensed, insured transportation; parents may be notified of fees and invited to chaperone.

Health and safety

Classrooms and facility are cleaned and sanitized daily with logs maintained in each classroom; infant and toddler toys are sanitized daily.
Hand-washing is practiced regularly; children in two-year and preschool rooms brush their teeth after breakfast and lunch with supplies provided by the center.
At least one staff member certified in CPR and First Aid is on site at all times.
An illness policy specifies exclusion for conditions such as fever (101°F or higher), vomiting, diarrhea, communicable rashes, pink eye and other contagious illnesses; an isolation procedure and pick-up requirement are used when a child becomes ill during the day.
The program is described as a violence-free zone, with threats or physical aggression reported to appropriate authorities.
