Overview

Learning Tree Preschool & Ccc provides group child care for a range of ages from infants through school-age children, including preschool and pre-kindergarten programmes. The centre presents programs intended to prepare children for kindergarten and to support working families with before/after school care and all-day options during school breaks.

Approach and programmes

Programs emphasise individualized attention and hands-on learning. Offerings include infant and toddler care with one-on-one time, music, art and reading; a planned preschool curriculum for 2- and 3-year-olds with activities such as dramatic play, puzzles and social skills development; and pre-K and school-age programs that include assessments, parent conferences, field trips, and activities designed to prepare children for kindergarten.

Facilities, meals and staff

Infant/toddler rooms maintain two teachers on duty and provide individual cribs or cots and diaper storage for each child.
Meals and infant feeding are supported through the USDA food program, with formula and baby food provided when used; breakfast, lunch and snacks are offered for older children.
The location has been remodelled and includes a security system with cameras.
Staff are described as experienced in childhood development, health and safety, and the centre references affiliations and oversight for its pre-K program, including a Type 04 early childhood teacher and regional/ISBE oversight.
