Little Achievers Child Care Develop Ctr

Overview

Little Achievers Child Care and Development Center provides Head Start and Early Head Start programming for families with children from birth through preschool age. The center combines classroom-based instruction with a home-visiting option for Early Head Start.

Programs and approach

Early Head Start (center-based): classroom-based play and learning with small toddler class sizes and support for health and physical development.
Home-visiting Early Head Start: weekly in-home visits that support parent–child relationships, coaching for expectant parents and families with young children, and connections to health services.
Head Start for children 3–5: instruction designed to develop academic and social-emotional skills and prepare children for kindergarten; staff provide support for children with IEPs and disabilities.

Family supports and features

The program offers free learning and care for seven hours each day (with up to 12 hours available), flexible scheduling options, and assistance for families with needs such as diapers and other child care supplies, transportation, employment support, housing stability, financial literacy, and access to technology.
