Long Beach City College Child Development Center operates campus-based early childhood care and preschool services, serving children of students, faculty, staff and community families at the college’s campuses.
The Child Development Center provides campus-based early childhood care and preschool services at Long Beach City College, serving children of students, faculty, staff and community families. The centers operate year-round, Monday through Friday. They observe all Board-approved holidays and close for three staff in-service days annually.
Operated in partnership with the college’s Child Development and Educational Studies Department, the centers follow early childhood education practices informed by professional experience and current research. Staff includes student teachers who are specializing in early childhood education.
Full-day preschool program for children ages 2-5; full-day classrooms have hours of operation from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Half-day preschool program for children ages 2-5.
