Overview

DEL DIOS is one of MAAC’s child development centers in Escondido serving families with children from birth through five years. The site is part of MAAC’s Head Start, Early Head Start and state preschool pathway of services and participates in the program model that provides comprehensive child and family supports.

Services and supports

Integrated family-focused supports including education, health, nutrition, mental health, and social services.
Provision for diverse populations, including dual language learners, children and parents with disabilities, and families experiencing homelessness or other challenges.

Family engagement and programming approach

Services emphasize developmental readiness and family involvement through workshops, parent-teacher conferences, parent groups and classroom volunteer opportunities. The program model includes center-based and family child care options to accommodate different family needs and may combine funding streams at some full-day sites to extend hours for qualifying families.
