Montessori Stars

Overview

Montessori Stars is a preschool that uses the Montessori approach to early education with an emphasis on supporting the whole child — emotional, physical, academic and social development. The school opened in Fall 2015 and maintains classrooms prepared with materials to promote independence and hands-on learning.

Curriculum and classroom

The program uses Montessori principles and a prepared environment divided into core areas such as Practical Life, Sensorial, Math and Language. Classrooms include manipulatives and materials designed to develop coordination, concentration, sensory perception, numeracy and early literacy. The program also incorporates music, art, movement and peace education.

Admissions

Enrollment period begins in August, with applications accepted throughout the year.
An application fee of $125 is required to hold a spot; the enrollment agreement and first month’s tuition are due to secure placement.
The school recommends scheduling a visit and tour as part of the enrollment process.
