Next Generation Extended School Care

Overview

Next Generation Extended School Care (NGESC) is the extended-day program associated with the Next Generation Martial Arts facility in Holliston. The program is presented alongside the martial-arts classes and seasonal camps run at the same location.

Approach and activities

Programming incorporates martial-arts-inspired activities intended to develop balance, coordination, social skills, confidence and discipline. Seasonal summer camps include training, games, water-balloon activities and end-of-week skits, and run as day camps during the summer months.

Staff and leadership

The executive director holds an associate degree in Child Study, a BS in Early Childhood Education and Human Development, an MS in Human Development, and an advanced graduate certificate in Educational Leadership.
The site coordinator has a BA in business, serves as a local police officer, and is a long-time martial-arts instructor and school owner with high-rank black-belt credentials.
Lead teachers and administrative staff include educators with classroom experience and other professional backgrounds; individual staff biographies and roles are provided on the NGESC staff page.
