Overview

Parent & Child Together for West Central Illinois (PACT) provides Head Start and Early Head Start services across multiple counties in west central Illinois. The program serves pregnant women and children from birth through age five and combines early learning with health, nutrition and family support services.

Program options

Home Based Option — Weekly home visits support parents as their child’s primary educator using the Parents As Teachers (PAT) curriculum, supplemented by group socialization activities for infants, toddlers and two-year-olds.
Center Based Option — Center locations offer Head Start and Early Head Start services with full-day and part-day program choices for children up to five years old.

Services and family engagement

Services include early childhood education aligned with Head Start outcomes, health screenings and follow-up, USDA-approved meals and snacks, mental health and disability supports, and transportation assistance where available. Family engagement opportunities include parent meetings, volunteer roles, workshops and participation in Policy Council and program decision-making.
