Parent And Child Together (Pact)

Overview

Parent And Child Together (PACT) in Macomb is part of PACT for West Central Illinois and provides Head Start and Early Head Start services. The program serves children from birth through age five and operates both center-based classrooms and a home-based option for pregnant women and children up to 36 months.

Programs and curriculum

Early childhood education is aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework (ELOF) across domains such as approaches to learning, social and emotional development, language and literacy, cognition, and physical development. Home-based services use the Parents As Teachers (PAT) curriculum and include regular home visits and group socializations.

Nutrition services including USDA-approved meals and snacks
Mental health and disability services
Family engagement opportunities, including participation in Policy Council, parent meetings, workshops, classroom volunteering, and parent-initiated activities
