Post High is a community-based transition program within the Washington County School District that provides individualized special education and transition services to help students prepare for employment, independent living and community participation.
Post High serves as a community-focused transition program offering special education services tailored to individual students' needs. Its programming is organized around preparing students for life after high school, including adult living, employment and community participation.
Employment-focused curriculum includes preemployment skills (social interactions, time management), supported and independent job samples with community partners, and opportunities for paid employment when appropriate.
Regular school hours are held Monday through Thursday with an early-out schedule on Friday. Lunch is provided during the school day on Monday through Thursday. The school maintains a Community Council that meets publicly and participates in school improvement and School LAND Trust planning.
