Pinnacle Peak Preparatory School is a public Pre‑K through 8th‑grade school in the Paradise Valley Unified School District that provides classroom instruction, electives, extracurricular activities and before‑ and after‑school care.
Pinnacle Peak Preparatory serves students from preschool through eighth grade and opened in 2002. The campus is part of Paradise Valley Unified School District and houses a before‑ and after‑school program called Mascot. Classrooms are equipped with 1:1 technology carts.
The school implements the Core Knowledge sequence and uses project‑based learning in its instructional approach. Middle school students take full‑year courses in core subjects and select from a range of electives. String instruction begins with 4th‑grade introductory work and continues through upper elementary and middle school orchestra, with emphasis on note reading, music theory and ensemble performance.
Instrument exploration begins in 4th grade with an exploratory quarter followed by regular band instruction and rehearsal; middle school band meets as a daily class.
A non‑audition singers group for 4th through 8th grade students that meets weekly before school.
