St. Sebastian School/Preschool

Overview

St. Sebastian School is a Catholic parish school serving preschool through 8th grade students in the Santa Paula / Heritage Valley area. The school presents a program of faith formation integrated with academic instruction and a focus on formation of the whole child.

Approach and curriculum

The school follows an intentional Catholic education model that integrates a Catholic worldview across the curriculum and aligns with Archdiocesan guidelines and California state standards. Instruction includes religious formation and emphasis on virtues, and the program materials reference classical sources and moral formation as part of student learning. A variety of extracurricular activities are offered, including sports and performing arts.

Family services and campus

Preschool operates year‑round with extended daily care (operating hours are given on the preschool page).
After‑school care is available for an additional fee.
Volunteer and child‑safety processes for families include fingerprinting and VIRTUS training for parent volunteers.
Campus life includes regular events and a school calendar for families; supplemental resources such as a parent portal, handbook and supply lists are provided.
