Steamboat Summer Mountain Camp

Overview

Mountain Camp is a seasonal day camp operating on the Steamboat Resort mountain during the summer. The program runs on a multi-week schedule over the summer months and serves school-age children through their teenage years, with activities and group organization tailored to age-appropriate cohorts.

Offerings

Daily activities include creative arts and crafts, group games, swimming and other water sports, field trips, outdoor exploration, team-building and mountain biking options. Specialty offerings include a downhill mountain-biking add-on and full-day white-water rafting outings; some specialty activities have extra fees and equipment requirements.

Practical information

Typical daily schedule: morning arrival/check-in, organized morning activities and field trips, a lunch and quiet-time period, afternoon activities and return to camp for pickup in the late afternoon.
Camp provides a morning snack and an afternoon snack; families must provide campers' lunches (camp does not refrigerate lunches) and should note the facility is not peanut-free.
Packing guidance includes swimsuit, towel, water shoes, sun hat, sunglasses, water bottle, rain jacket, extra layer, appropriate footwear (no flip-flops), and a labeled zippered bag; campers must wear an official camp t-shirt each day (registration includes one t-shirt; additional shirts available for purchase).
Registration options include multi-day packages (minimum-day requirements apply) and daily registration; separate refund/cancellation rules apply to short-term (1–9 day) bookings and multi-day packages.
