Overview

Sunny Kids Land Early Learning Center operates in Chicago and serves infants, toddlers, young preschoolers and preschoolers. The center’s program range covers children from about 6 weeks up to 6 years of age and is presented as a neighborhood-style early learning setting.

Approach and curriculum

Programs and age groups

Caterpillars (Infants) — 6 Weeks – 15 Months: Infant classroom with small-group, attentive care, daily storytime and spaces for tummy time and early movement.
Bumblebees (Toddlers) — 15 - 24 Months: Toddler program using a play-based curriculum with activities to build gross-motor skills and regular outdoor play.
Grasshoppers (Young Preschoolers) — 2 - 4 Years: Mixed-age preschool program focused on play-based, Montessori-inspired exploration, early literacy and daily STEAM activities with language exposure.
Dragonflies (Preschoolers) — 4 - 6 Years: Preschool/pre-K program preparing children for school through Montessori-style practical life activities, STEAM investigations, language immersion and optional creative enrichment.
