Trinity Early Childhood Center

Overview

Trinity Early Childhood Center serves children aged 6 weeks through 5 years and offers both childcare and preschool programming. Instructional content follows state learning expectations while including faith-based elements.

Curriculum and religious components

Programs incorporate the SCEWD framework (Social/Spiritual, Communicative Arts, Expressive Arts, Wellness & Discovery), daily "Jesus Time," and weekly Chapel during the academic calendar. The curriculum emphasizes pre-reading, reading, mathematical and scientific concepts, creative and expressive arts, music and Bible truths, with planned activities to reinforce learning through experience.

Programs and care practices

Genesis (6 weeks thru 15 months) — Infant care focused on developmental sequences for motor skills, language, cognition and socialization; caregivers provide frequent holding, cuddling and interaction. For infants through 15 months the stated staff/child ratio is four children per staff member and the center notes that no child is left unattended, even while asleep.
Psalms (15 months thru 2 years) — Toddler program that supports communication, self-help and social skills; the stated staff/child ratio for children 15 months to 24 months is five children per staff member.
Acts (2's Preschool) and Kings (Preschool) — Preschool-aged classes with a more structured environment and increased opportunities for exploration; the preschool/childcare program is described as serving children between the ages of two and five years with a 1:8 teacher/student ratio in Acts and 1:10 in Kings. Children must be fully potty-trained before transition to the Kings class.
Romans (Pre-Kindergarten) — Program for children between the ages of 4 and 5 with a 1:10 teacher/child ratio that develops pre-reading skills and prepares children for kindergarten through art, music, dramatic play, centers and motor activities.
Meals — Both childcare and preschool programming include a morning snack and an organic lunch.
