T.U.S.D.#1 - Blenman Preschool Program

Overview

Blenman Preschool is a part‑day inclusive preschool program housed within Blenman Elementary. The program serves 3‑ to 5‑year‑old children and emphasizes play‑based learning, social‑emotional development, and school readiness.

Program and schedule

Part‑day program offered four days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) with 2.5‑hour sessions in the morning or afternoon.
Ages served: 3 - 5 years old (must be potty‑trained).
Program is provided at no cost to families and maintains small class sizes.
Each program is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services and accepts DES.

Curriculum and learning

The preschool uses a standards‑based, play‑focused approach that covers early literacy, math, science, social studies, art, music, movement, dramatic play, and other typical preschool activities. The program implements the ASU‑developed TELL curriculum to support language, literacy, and school readiness.

Staffing and partnerships

Teachers in the preschool are early childhood certified. The school also highlights arts and garden programming and partnerships that extend learning opportunities across subjects such as music, art, dance, and gardening.
