T.U.S.D.#1 - Maldonado Preschool Program

Overview

The Maldonado Preschool Program provides part‑day, inclusive preschool classes for children ages three through five. Classes emphasize early academic and social‑emotional learning through play and aim to prepare children for kindergarten.

Curriculum and Instruction

Standards‑based early learning curriculum with an emphasis on language, literacy and school readiness.
The program implements the ASU‑developed TELL curriculum in district preschool offerings.
Instruction is delivered in small class sizes by teachers who are early childhood certified.

Schedule, Ages and Licensing

Programs run four days per week with morning and afternoon part‑day sessions. Each program is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services and the district accepts DES subsidies for eligible families.
