V.I.P. Village - State Preschool

Overview

VIP Village Preschool is a district-run preschool program that supports early childhood growth across social-emotional, oral language, physical, self-help/hygiene, fine motor, creative, and cognitive domains. The program includes arts, music, and dramatic play activities and schedules family events and parent education opportunities.

Approach and communication

The program emphasizes developmentally appropriate, play-based learning and regular communication with families through newsletters, classroom notices, and phone contact. Staff encourage parent involvement and maintain a Parent Advisory Committee to support program planning and evaluation.

Safety, licensing and volunteer requirements

Programs are licensed through the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing and adhere to state child development standards.
Site-specific safety plans are maintained as part of a district Comprehensive School Safety Plan and are available for in-person review at the school office.
Volunteer participation requires completion of the district volunteer application, fingerprint clearance, and submission of specified vaccination and TB documentation as required by state licensing.
