Overview

Wabash Area Development, Inc. Head Start operates Head Start and Early Head Start services in Edwards, Wabash and nearby counties, with a center in Albion. The program serves children from birth through age five and offers both center‑based and home‑based options.

Program options

Early Head Start — assists pregnant women and children from birth to age 3 and addresses early learning, health and family wellbeing.
Head Start — serves children age 3 to 5 and provides classroom‑based education and supports aimed at school readiness; full‑day center options are available in some locations including Albion.
Homebase — provides weekly home visits that last about an hour and a half and group opportunities for families to learn and socialize.
