World of Wonder Preschool

Overview

World of Wonder Preschool is a private, part‑time early childhood program that serves children from approximately 2 years, 9 months through 7 years of age. The program is organized into three curriculum levels: Nursery, Pre‑Kindergarten and Transition.

Curriculum and learning

Curricula are aligned with Massachusetts preschool frameworks and use the Eight Multiple Intelligences to address varied learning styles. Activities are planned to encourage language, motor skills, math concepts, creative expression and social development. The center maintains student portfolios of work and provides classroom resources such as a library and classroom computer to support instruction.

Staff, facilities and family communication

Teaching staff hold bachelor’s or master’s degrees or related credentials and hold EEC (Early Education and Care) certificates; lead aides have taken child growth and development coursework and hold EEC certificates. All staff are certified in First Aid and CPR.
The center has a part‑time health consultant/nurse on staff.
Facilities include an enclosed outdoor playground and a library area; classrooms are organized with varied activity centers.
Family communication includes periodic written progress reports, parent conferences on request, a monthly newsletter, an optional parent group that sponsors enrichment and community activities, and an annual graduation program.
Food brought from home must be peanut‑free and nut‑free; parents provide snacks/lunch and a change of clothing for their child.
